The 2025 Trofeo Princesa Sofía, the first regatta of this year’s Sailing Grand Slam, concluded today in Palma de Mallorca after six days of competition and all scheduled races successfully completed. The top 10 sailors from the Qualifying and Final Series competed this morning in the decisive Medal Race to determine the podiums in both the ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 Olympic classes. Sunny weather graced the final day of competition, with a shifty breeze ranging from 10 to 12 knots. The women’s Medal Race began at 11:00, followed by the men’s race 45 minutes later on the same course. Overnight ILCA 6 leader Zoe Thomson AUS secured the gold medal by finishing second in today’s single race. The silver went to rising Italian talent Emma Mattivi ITA, who won the Medal Race.
